1. Privacy at a Glance

Awaitly is designed to work locally on your Mac.

Waiting items and related information entered into Awaitly are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to an Awaitly-operated server.

Awaitly does not require a user account or cloud service for its core functionality.

2. Waiting Items

You may enter information such as:

  • what you are waiting for;
  • who or what you are waiting on;
  • the date an item started;
  • an optional follow-up date;
  • completion status; and
  • other information necessary to organise the waiting item.

Awaitly uses this information to display your pending items and calculate how long they have been waiting.

This information is processed locally on your Mac.

We do not receive or have access to the waiting items you enter into Awaitly.

3. Local Storage

Awaitly may store information locally that is necessary for the application to function, including:

  • active waiting items;
  • completed items;
  • names or descriptions entered by you;
  • start and follow-up dates;
  • application preferences; and
  • local settings.

This information remains on your device unless your macOS configuration or another service selected by you independently backs up or synchronises application data.

4. Follow-Up Notifications

If Awaitly provides local notifications or reminders, they are scheduled and handled through macOS on your device.

Notification information is not sent to an Awaitly-operated server.

Your use of notifications is subject to the notification settings and permissions configured on your Mac.

5. No User Account or Cloud Service

Awaitly does not require you to create an Awaitly account.

We do not operate an Awaitly cloud service that stores your:

  • waiting items;
  • contact names;
  • follow-up dates;
  • notes;
  • completion history; or
  • application preferences.

6. No Automatic Email or Account Access

Awaitly does not automatically read your email, messages, invoices, App Store Connect account, banking information, customer accounts, or other external services.

Waiting items are entered manually by the user.

Awaitly does not monitor whether a reply, payment, approval, or other external event has occurred.

7. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

Awaitly does not contain:

  • advertising;
  • behavioural tracking;
  • cross-app tracking;
  • user profiling;
  • marketing SDKs; or
  • custom analytics services.

We do not use your waiting items or related information for advertising, marketing, profiling, or artificial-intelligence training.

8. Apple and the Mac App Store

Awaitly is distributed through Apple’s Mac App Store.

Apple may independently process information relating to your App Store account, device, purchase, download, payment, diagnostics, or use of the App Store.

This processing is performed by Apple and is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and contractual terms.

We generally do not receive your payment information from Apple.

Apple may provide developers with aggregated sales, download, performance, or diagnostic information.

9. Information About Third Parties

You may choose to enter the name of a person, client, company, organisation, or other third party as part of a waiting item.

This information remains locally stored on your device and is not transmitted to us through Awaitly.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis or other appropriate justification for storing personal information about third parties.

We recommend entering only the minimum information necessary for your organisational purposes.

10. Contact by Email

If you contact us by email, we process the information contained in your message, including your email address, in order to respond.

Depending on the nature of your request, the legal basis for this processing may be:

  • Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where communication relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures; or
  • Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in providing support and responding to enquiries.

Support correspondence is retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or as required by law.

Please do not send confidential or sensitive information by email unless necessary for your support request.

11. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

Because waiting items entered into Awaitly remain locally on your Mac, we do not receive or share this information.

Personal data sent directly to us through support communications may be processed by service providers necessary to provide email or hosting services.

12. International Data Transfers

Awaitly itself does not transmit locally stored waiting items to an Awaitly-operated server.

Apple, email providers, or other services you independently interact with may process personal data outside the European Economic Area.

Such processing is governed by the relevant provider and applicable data-protection law.

13. Data Retention

Because we do not receive your locally stored waiting items, we do not determine their retention period.

Awaitly data remains under your control on your Mac.

You can remove waiting items within the application where such functionality is provided, remove local application data, or uninstall Awaitly.

Personal data received directly through support communications is retained only for as long as necessary or legally required.

14. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you may have the right to:

  • request access to personal data held about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • receive data you provided in a portable format where applicable; and
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Because we do not receive the waiting items processed locally by Awaitly, we cannot access, retrieve, correct, or delete this locally stored information for you.

For personal data held directly by us, you may exercise your rights by contacting:

info@maxantonschneider.com

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.

15. Security

Awaitly is designed to minimise privacy risks by keeping waiting information on your Mac.

You remain responsible for protecting:

  • access to your Mac;
  • your macOS user account;
  • locally stored Awaitly information; and
  • device backups.

If you choose to enter confidential or sensitive information, you should take appropriate measures to protect access to your device.

16. Children

Awaitly is a general-purpose productivity utility and is not specifically directed at children.

The application does not knowingly collect personal data from children through an online account or service operated by us.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if Awaitly, its technical operation, or applicable legal requirements change.

The current version will be made available through the application, App Store listing, or an associated website.
