This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled when you use the macOS application Next5Moves, provided by:

1. Privacy at a Glance
Next5Moves is designed to work locally on your Mac.
Outcomes, moves, and related information entered into Next5Moves are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to a Next5Moves-operated server.
Next5Moves does not require a user account or cloud service for its core functionality.
2. Outcomes and Moves
You may enter information such as:
- outcome names;
- individual moves or steps;
- completion status;
- ordering of moves; and
- other information necessary to organise an outcome.
Next5Moves uses this information to display your current outcome, identify the next move, and track completed moves.
This information is processed locally on your Mac.
We do not receive or have access to the outcomes or moves you enter into Next5Moves.
3. Local Storage
Next5Moves may store information locally that is required for the application to function, including:
- current outcomes;
- completed or pending moves;
- application preferences;
- progress information; and
- local settings.
This information remains on your device unless your macOS configuration or another service selected by you independently backs up or synchronises application data.
4. No User Account or Cloud Service
Next5Moves does not require you to create a Next5Moves account.
We do not operate a Next5Moves cloud service that stores your:
- outcomes;
- moves;
- project information;
- progress history; or
- application preferences.
5. No Automatic Access to Other Services
Next5Moves does not automatically access your:
- email;
- calendar;
- task-management accounts;
- project-management services;
- files;
- customer systems; or
- other external accounts.
Outcomes and moves are entered manually by the user.
6. Information About Third Parties
You may choose to include names of clients, customers, colleagues, companies, or other persons in an outcome or move.
Such information remains locally stored on your Mac and is not transmitted to us through Next5Moves.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are authorised to store and process personal information about third parties.
We recommend entering only the information necessary for your organisational purposes.
7. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising
Next5Moves does not contain:
- advertising;
- behavioural tracking;
- cross-app tracking;
- user profiling;
- marketing SDKs; or
- custom analytics services.
We do not use your outcomes or moves for advertising, marketing, profiling, or artificial-intelligence training.
8. Apple and the Mac App Store
Next5Moves is distributed through Apple’s Mac App Store.
Apple may independently process information relating to your App Store account, device, purchase, download, payment, diagnostics, or use of the App Store.
This processing is performed by Apple and is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and contractual terms.
We generally do not receive your payment information from Apple.
Apple may provide developers with aggregated sales, download, performance, or diagnostic information.
9. Contact by Email
If you contact us by email, we process the information contained in your message, including your email address, in order to respond.
Depending on the nature of your request, the legal basis for this processing may be:
- Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where communication relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures; or
- Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in providing support and responding to enquiries.
Support correspondence is retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or as required by law.
Please do not send confidential or sensitive information by email unless necessary for your support request.
10. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
Because information entered into Next5Moves remains locally on your Mac, we do not receive or share that information.
Personal data sent directly to us through support communications may be processed by service providers necessary to provide email or hosting services.
11. International Data Transfers
Next5Moves itself does not transmit locally stored outcomes or moves to a Next5Moves-operated server.
Apple, email providers, or other services you independently interact with may process personal data outside the European Economic Area.
Such processing is governed by the relevant provider and applicable data-protection law.
12. Data Retention
Because we do not receive your locally stored outcomes and moves, we do not determine their retention period.
Next5Moves data remains under your control on your Mac.
You can remove outcomes and moves using functionality provided by the application, remove local application data, or uninstall Next5Moves.
Personal data received directly through support communications is retained only for as long as necessary or legally required.
13. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal data held about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive data you provided in a portable format where applicable; and
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Because we do not receive the information processed locally by Next5Moves, we cannot access, retrieve, correct, or delete this locally stored information for you.

14. Security
Next5Moves is designed to minimise privacy risks by keeping your productivity information on your Mac.
You remain responsible for protecting:
- access to your Mac;
- your macOS user account;
- locally stored Next5Moves information; and
- device backups.
If you choose to enter confidential or sensitive information, you should take appropriate measures to protect access to your device.
15. Children
Next5Moves is a general-purpose productivity utility and is not specifically directed at children.
The application does not knowingly collect personal data from children through an online account or service operated by us.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if Next5Moves, its technical operation, or applicable legal requirements change.
The current version will be made available through the application, App Store listing, or an associated website.
