Super Chess Puzzle
Last updated: July 28, 2026
Summary
Super Chess Puzzle does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The App works entirely offline. Everything the App remembers about you — your puzzle rating, streak, solved-puzzle count, and app preferences — is stored only in local storage on your own device and never leaves it. We, as the developer, have no access to it, and no server ever receives it.
This is a legally required, more detailed explanation of that summary.
1. Who Is Responsible
The controller responsible for this App within the meaning of applicable data protection law (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation, "GDPR") is:
Max Anton Schneider c/o MDC Management #1582 Welserstraße 3 87463 Dietmannsried Germany
Email: info@maxantonschneider.com
2. What Data the App Processes
The App stores the following information locally on your device only, using your operating system's standard on-device storage (React Native AsyncStorage):
- your chess puzzle rating and rating history changes;
- your current and best daily streak, and the date you last opened the App;
- the number of puzzles you have solved;
- your app preferences (board color theme, language, and toggles for haptic feedback, sound effects, auto-advance, and which stats are displayed).
None of this data:
- identifies you personally (it is not linked to your name, email address, or any account — the App has no account system);
- is transmitted to us, to any server, or to any third party;
- is used for advertising, profiling, or analytics.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
The App does not include:
- user accounts, sign-in, or sign-up;
- analytics or crash-reporting SDKs;
- advertising or ad-tracking SDKs;
- in-app purchases or payment processing;
- access to your contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, or location;
- any network requests to our servers or any third-party servers.
Sound playback and haptic feedback in the App are generated and rendered entirely on-device and do not involve any data collection.
4. App Store Platforms
We do not receive any personal data about you from Apple's App Store or Google Play as a result of your download or use of the App. Any data those platforms process about the purchase, download, or operation of your device (for example, for billing, device diagnostics, or platform-level crash reporting) is governed by Apple's or Google's own privacy policies, not this one:
- Apple Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Because all data described in Section 2 is stored exclusively on your device, it is retained for as long as the App remains installed. You can delete it at any time by:
- clearing the App's storage/data through your device's system settings, or
- uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored data along with it.
We hold no copy of this data and therefore cannot retain, restore, or delete it on your behalf once it is removed from your device.
6. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Because the on-device storage described above does not involve the processing of personal data by us as a controller (we never receive, see, or store it), most GDPR obligations relating to our own processing do not apply. To the extent any local processing is nonetheless considered "processing" under applicable law, its legal basis is the performance of the App's core functionality that you request by using it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in providing that functionality (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
7. Your Rights
Since we do not collect, receive, or store any personal data about you, there is generally nothing held by us for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. If you nonetheless have questions about your rights under the GDPR or another applicable data protection law — including the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection — you can contact us using the details in Section 1, and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is a general-audience chess puzzle app and does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children. Since the App collects no personal data at all, no special children's-privacy processing occurs.
9. International Users
The App works identically wherever it is used, and no data is transmitted internationally, because no data is transmitted anywhere. If you use the App outside of Germany or the European Union, this Privacy Policy still applies to you in full.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new App features or changes in legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
