This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled when you use the macOS application Ramen, provided by:

1. Privacy at a Glance

Ramen is designed to work locally on your Mac.

Financial information entered into Ramen is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to a Ramen-operated server.

Ramen does not require a user account or cloud service to calculate your financial runway.

2. Financial Information

You may enter financial information including:

• personal cash;
• business cash;
• personal monthly income;
• business monthly revenue;
• personal monthly expenses; and
• business monthly expenses.

Ramen uses this information to calculate values such as:

• total available cash;
• total income;
• total expenses;
• monthly burn;
• yearly burn;
• estimated financial runway; and
• profitability status.

These calculations are performed locally on your Mac.

We do not receive or have access to the financial values you enter into Ramen.

3. No Bank Connections

Ramen does not connect to your bank accounts.

The application does not automatically retrieve:

• bank balances;
• bank transactions;
• credit-card transactions;
• investment information;
• payment-provider information; or
• other financial-account data.

All financial values used by Ramen are entered manually by the user.

4. Local Storage

Ramen may store the financial values and application preferences necessary for its functionality locally on your Mac.

This may include:

• financial values entered by you;
• calculation preferences;
• application settings; and
• information relating to when values were last updated.

This information remains on your device unless your macOS configuration or another service selected by you backs up or synchronises application data.

5. No User Accounts or Cloud Service

Ramen does not require you to create a Ramen account.

We do not operate a Ramen cloud service that stores:

• your financial information;
• cash balances;
• income;
• revenue;
• expenses;
• burn rate; or
• runway calculations.

6. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

Ramen does not contain:

• advertising;
• behavioural tracking;
• cross-app tracking;
• user profiling;
• marketing SDKs; or
• custom analytics services.

We do not use your financial information for advertising, profiling, marketing, or artificial-intelligence training.

7. Apple and the Mac App Store

Ramen is distributed through Apple’s Mac App Store.

Apple may independently process information relating to your App Store account, device, purchase, download, payment, diagnostics, or use of the App Store.

This processing is carried out by Apple and is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and contractual terms.

We generally do not receive your payment information from Apple.

Apple may provide developers with aggregated sales, download, performance, or diagnostic information.

8. Contact by Email

When you contact us by email, we process the information contained in your message, including your email address, in order to respond to your request.

Depending on the nature of your request, the legal basis for processing may be:

• Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where communication relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures; or
• Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in providing support and responding to enquiries.

Support correspondence is retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or as required by law.

We recommend that you do not send sensitive financial information by email unless necessary for your support request.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

Because the financial information entered into Ramen remains locally on your Mac, we do not receive or share this information.

Personal data submitted directly to us through support communications may be processed by service providers necessary to provide email or hosting services.

10. International Data Transfers

Ramen itself does not transmit your locally entered financial information to a Ramen-operated server.

Apple, email providers, or other services you interact with may independently process personal data outside the European Economic Area.

Such processing is governed by the respective provider and applicable data-protection law.

11. Data Retention

Because we do not receive your locally stored financial information, we do not determine its retention period.

Ramen data remains under your control on your Mac.

You can remove locally stored data using functionality provided by the application, by removing application data, or by uninstalling Ramen.

Personal data received directly through support communications is retained only for as long as necessary or legally required.

12. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you may have the right to:

• request access to personal data held about you;
• request correction of inaccurate data;
• request deletion;
• request restriction of processing;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive data you provided in a portable format where applicable; and
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Because we do not receive the financial information processed locally by Ramen, we cannot access, retrieve, correct, or delete this locally stored information for you.

13. Security

Ramen is designed to minimise privacy risks by keeping financial information on your Mac.

You remain responsible for protecting:

• your macOS user account;
• locally stored financial information; and
• device backups.

We recommend using appropriate device security, encryption, access controls, and secure backups when storing sensitive financial information.

14. Children

Ramen is a financial planning utility intended primarily for adults, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and business users.

The application does not knowingly collect personal data from children through an online account or service operated by us.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if Ramen, its technical operation, or applicable legal requirements change.

The current version will be made available through the application, App Store listing, or an associated website.
